Well...we dodged the weather bullet this year with a snowstorm on the day BEFORE our departure instead of the ice storm on the morning of our departure last year! It's loooking good!

We leave at 5:30 AM and head toward our nation's captial where we will visit the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and meet with a Holocaust survivor tomorrow, as well. This museum always invokes personal introspection regarding man's unhumanity to man and, hopefully, will leave us making a personal promise to treat each other with gentle kindness and compasssion.

The weather promises to be dry with seasonal temperatures until Sunday, when the rains come. By then, after a few days of busy exploring, we will be happy to be resting comfortably on the coach as we head back north.

Stay tuned!

Washington, DC '09

So... last year a group of 54 students and adults took the first trip to Washington, DC to lay wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery. It was such an unforgettable trip that I decided to do it again this year. There will be 2 buses going down on Dec. 10th for a total of 108 people (adults and students of all ages!) volunteering to lay 15,000 wreaths in rain, shine, snow, cold...any weather that Mother Nature decides to produce. Over 100,000 wreaths have been donated by Morrill Worcester in the past 15 years and we are very fortunate to be a part of this incredible opportunity. Stay tuned for details as we explore our nation's capital from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to the Flight Simulator at the Air and Space Museum on the National Mall. We are even scheduled to visit the White House on Friday! It is a much anticipated trip!
